Dr. David Ramsey has spent more than 40 years in practice and has enjoyed helping thousands of patients regain their health through chiropractic and nutrition, including his longtime hero, Jack LaLanne!

He graduated form the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa in 1977. During the first several years in practice in San Jose, California he specialized in work injuries, car accident injuries, and sports injuries. He also had a large family practice and had a keen interest in pre-natal and pediatric care.

In 1994, Dr. Ramsey was chosen to be one of 20 health care practitioners to be a clinical investigator in the FDA trials of the new Low Level Laser Therapy. His pioneering work with therapeutic lasers led to him being asked to treat some of the San Francisco 49ers for debilitating injuries. For his successful treatment that allowed two of the 49ers to play in the 1995 Super Bowl, he was featured on several Bay Area news shows and in national publications including Forbes Magazine. During this time, Dr. Ramsey served on the Scientific Advisory Board of Laser Medics, Missouri City, Texas. He also completed an 18 month post graduate course in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Ramsey produced and hosted his own cable TV show “Health Nuts” and co-hosted a radio show in San Francisco about natural health. After moving to Paso Robles, CA from the Bay Area he became a co-host of the popular radio show “Nature’s Neighbor” which aired on Radio Station KPRL AM 1230, Paso Robles. Before moving to the Central Coast in 2004, Dr. Ramsey was a faculty member at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose. As of April, 2022, he now spends most of his time helping patients in his practice, Functional Medicine Center in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Ramsey has been studying nutrition even longer than he’s been a chiropractor. Many of his patients over the years have been able to get off several toxic drugs and regain optimum health through his expertise in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Ramsey’s level of expertise in the specialty of Functional Medicine has risen significantly over the past 25 years starting with mentorship training under the expert guidance of Dr. Daniel Kalish, world renown Functional Medicine practitioner and educator from San Francisco. Areas of specialty include: Stress-Related Illness, Hormonal-Related Conditions, Toxicities, Cardio-Metabolic Disorders, Digestive and Immune System Conditions, Brain Chemistry Balancing (depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, cognitive issues). His number one specialty has become autoimmune disease, especially Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. He hopes to have his first book published on this subject in the very near future.

Donna Ramsey, Dr. Ramsey’s wife,  is usually the first contact that patients have with our office as she lends a very caring empathetic ear and helps each patient with the decision as to wether our brand of health care would be a good fit for the patient.

Dr. Ramsey’s greatest reward is seeing his patients fully regain their health and vitality and being free of the need for prescription and over-the-counter drugs. His greatest joy that he shares with his wife, Donna, is spending time with their family, especially their 7 grandchildren.
